This spat puts the Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey tiff to shame. West Manchester Township Police have arrested a couple after they stabbed one another during an argument over which contestant deserved to win ‘American Idol.’
According to court documents, Gregory Stambaugh, 57, and Karen Elaine Harrelson, 48, were drunk and watching the popular Fox show together on May 15th at Stambaugh’s residence on Lycan Drive.
Stambaugh and Harrelson disagreed over whether Candice Glover or Kree Harrison should win the 12th season of American Idol. At one point, either Stambaugh or Harrelson went to the kitchen, grabbed a knife, and stabbed the other. The victim of the first stabbing responded in kind, stabbing the stabber. Both Stambaugh and Harrelson say the other was the first to engage in knifeplay.
Stambaugh had a puncture wound on his forearm. Harrelson had scratches on her fingers and a laceration on top of her wrist.
Both are currently in York County Prison charged with aggravated and simple assault.
