FRIDAY CHILL: The first cold front passed through yesterday, bringing scattered showers and storms. Today’s front brings a much different feel for the region. Yeah, we’ll have the clouds and showers lingering, but we’re going to tap into come much cooler air on the heels of some gusty northwesterly winds.
We’ve pretty much it our high for today this morning in the low 60s. Cooler air is spilling in as you read this. We’ll hold steady in the upper 50s before dropping into the middle 50s by this afternoon. The wind will be 20-30mph at times with higher gusts, adding to the chill. Showers will be hit and miss today too. It’s not an ideal way to start the holiday weekend, but we do improve in the days ahead. Clouds should clear with overnight. We’re in the middle 40s for lows.
MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND: Overall, it’s looking, cool and dry with low humidity for the long weekend. Clouds and showers clear around daybreak on Saturday. It’s generally a cool and breezy day, but the sunshine will help make things feel a bit warmer. Sunday, the breeze is gone and we’re enjoying and sunny and mild day with highs near 70°. Memorial Day, we’re back to the low and middle 70s with mainly sunny skies. The weather looks great for all outdoor plans from BBQ’s to Memorial Services and parades. Enjoy!
BEACH OUTLOOK: Heading to the shores this weekend, expect a generally cloudy and windy day with some showers for Saturday. Highs will be in the 60s. Sunday is a tad less windy with sunshine returning. By Monday, we’re back to the 70s with a good amount of sun. Water temps are in the upper 50s and low 60s and the surf will improve through the weekend.
SHORT WEEK: Tuesday is milder as temps climb to the middle 70s. There’s a small chance for some showers and storms as a warm front advances through the state. Wednesday is warmer yet with highs into the middle 80°. Thursday we’re pushing 90° as the humidity slowly creeps back into the state.
