In Lancaster County, military men and women who’ve lost their lives in the line of duty were honored on Sunday.
The Reamstown Community Memorial Day service was held at Memorial Park.
A crowd gathered to hear a special message from a National Guard Captain who served in Iraq, Egypt and Afghanistan.
“Thank a veteran, thank a veteran for your freedom but also take time to reflect on those who weren’t as lucky as I was, I’m very lucky to be here and be able to speak to everybody today,” says Capt. Jason Secrest.
Capt. Secrest spent more than two years overseas in his tours of duty.
Sunday’s service in Reamstown is held every Memorial Day weekend.
