A woman who lied to authorities about being raped in Silver Spring Township earlier this week was charged Friday with making false reports to law enforcement, police said. On Sunday officers were dispatched around 4 p.m. to the 6600 block of Carlisle Pike for a rape that had just occurred. Cierra Reyes-Benitez, of Mechanicsburg, told police othat she was abducted by two men, forced into the back of a van and raped.

Investigators determined that no assault or rape occurred.

A preliminary hearing is set for July 3.

Keep us posted on a motive. If there is one thing as bad as rape, it's false charges of rape.

The police knew it was a false conviction because no one in their right minds would intentionally have sex with this woman. They took one look at her and arrested her for lying. no investigation needed.
