Two local teams are state championship bound

West York will be going for their 2nd straight AAA state title after taking down Abington Heights, 5-4 at Pine Grove High School.  Brett Kinneman got the game winning hit in the bottom of the 7th to give the Bulldogs the win.  They will play Lower Moreland for the state title, Friday at 1pm at Penn State.

Lower Dauphin will also move onto the state championship game.  The Falcons beat North Allegheny, 1-0 at Somerset High School.  Jake Shellenberger hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th to win the game.

The District 3 champions will play North Penn in Friday’s Class AAAA state championship game at Penn State’s Medlar Field. That game is scheduled for 6 p.m.
