Carlisle girl, 16, accused of assaulting a police officer

A 16-year-old girl from Carlisle, is accused of kicking and punching two officers after they found her in possession of 9 baggies of heroin.

Officers pulled over the vehicle that the girl was a passenger in around the 600 block of W. Louther St. Just after 5pm on Fathers day. The officers pulled the vehicle over for speeding and blowing through a stop sign.The driver, Drew A. Dechene, of Carlisle was found in possession of a marijuana pipe police said.

Dechene has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and several traffic violations. The girl has been charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and drug possession. She is now in custody at the Cumberland County Juvenile Probation.
