Competitive eaters stuffed their faces today to see who would be crowned the wing eating champion in York today.
Crispus Attucks of York hosted his its first annual Wingstock festival at the Sovereign Bank Stadium.Gates opened at 1:00 this afternoon and had events all throughout the day. Events like egg roulette, best wing competition and little nugget talent contest are just some of the events people could enjoy.
Just before the game kicked off at 6:30 pm there was a wing eating contest that was being judge buy celebrities from around our area. The winner of the contest received $100 dollar cash prize. Door prizes were awarded to attendees all throughout the evening including a door prize raffle of $500 dollars.
Wings for the Wingstock were samples local vendors in our area: Buffalo Wild Wings, Aaroogas, Cobblestone’s, Kickin’ Kadilaks, West York Inn. Other vendors their included Bricker’s Fries and Smoothie King. The emcee for the day was comedian/entertainer Earl David Reed.For the purchase of $15.00 you got a ticket to the baseball game as well as 6 wings, a Peoples Choice Award Vote. Wingstock lasted until 6:00pm with the York Revolution playing right after, a great way to spend a nice summer Saturday night in York County.
