Pedestrian struck by train in Adams County.

An unidentified man is seriously injured after being hit by a CSX freight train in Adams County. It happened at about 7:12 pm Monday about a half mile north of the Reynolds Avenue overpass in Cumberland Township, just outside of Gettysburg.

Emergency crews responding to the scene found the victim on the tracks beneath the 17th car of the freight train. The victim was airlifted to York Hospital.  No word on his condition.  CSX is investigating.
