Pickup collides with freight train in Franklin County

A Franklin County man is injured when his pickup is hit by a freight train.  It happened at about 2:41 Monday afternoon at 70 Mason Road at the rail crossing in Antrim Township.  Pennsylvania State Police say the victim, a 49 yer old Greencastle man, drove his white 2005 Ford E350 pickup onto the tracks into the path of a Norfolk Southern freight train. The impact pushed the pickup into an adjacent cornfield.

The unidentified man was airlifted to York Hospital.  No word on the extent of his injuries.  State Police continue their investigation.
