ONE MORE DECENT NIGHT
Dewpoints are still in the 50s. Even though tonight’s temperatures will not be as chilly, it will feel quite nice. Lows will range from the upper 50s to low 60s with a light breeze.
FEELING MORE HUMID
Moisture will start to stream in on a southerly flow which will be come southeasterly at times. This means dewpoints will rise and you will start to feel the humidity more tomorrow. Clouds will be on the increase as the next system approaches from the west. Most of the morning and part of the afternoon will be dry especially further east. Showers and storms will be possible in the by afternoon in our western counties and late afternoon and evening further east. Keep the umbrella handy as you head out later in the day. Highs will warm into the low 80s maybe some mid 80s further east.
SUNDAY SHOWERS AND STORMS
A better chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms as a cold front crosses through the area. Should be east of us by early evening. We’ll have to keep an eye on the storms. We are not in a slight risk for severe weather but they may have the potential to produce strong gusty winds. With more clouds and a better threat for showers, temperatures will hover around 80°.
Upper level trough hangs over us until Monday at which time it will flatten and lift a bit. We dry out for the start of the week but temperatures remain below average in the upper 70s to low 80s on Monday despite sunshine.
JULY INTO AUGUST
Yes, that is right we start a new month this week. Models differ a bit on a disturbance that rides in from the Tennessee Valley Wednesday into Thursday. As of now, it looks like Thursday has a better chance of seeing showers and thunderstorms. Highs both days are expected at or below normal in the low to mid 80s.
