York Revolution to produce Halloween Parade

The York Revolution steps forward to take over production of the annual York Halloween Parade.  The parade’s long time sponsor, the YWCA, cited rising expenses and fewer donations from local businesses, as the reason for its decision to cancel involvement with parade. The parade will remain on its traditional route, with the Revolution having responsibility for fundraising, organization, volunteer recruitment and other aspects of the event.

Shipley Energy and York College have also stepped forward to help sponsor the parade. Additional sponsors are also being sought.  The parade will take place this year on October 27.  Registration details will be available on the York Revolution website beginning August 15.
