(CNN) — Rockne Newell, accused of killing three people and wounding several others in a shooting at a town council meeting in rural Pennsylvania Monday night, was arraigned Tuesday morning on charges of criminal homicide, Pennsylvania State Police Sgt. Brian Vadell said. Newell was in jail during the video arraignment, Vadell said. No plea was entered; Newell remains at the Monroe County jail awaiting assignment of an attorney, Vadell said.
