MAINLY DRY THROUGH WEEKEND

Last night’s cold front has cleared the region, far enough to the south that sunshine has overspread the region.  Through the night, expect partly cloudy to mostly clear skies with high pressure building in.  This means decent viewing conditions for the Perseid Meteor Shower!  It’s a comfortable night, with lows falling into the lower to middle 60s.  A few weak pulses of energy pass by just to our south on Sunday.  Expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds, with some cloudier periods likely through the afternoon.  A stray shower is possible, but not everyone will see it.  Highs reach the lower 80s Sunday.  High pressure slips offshore Monday, making the region a little more vulnerable to few pulses of energy in the atmosphere.  A mixture of sunshine and clouds do it once again, with a couple passing showers possible.  Again, not everyone sees it.

MIDWEEK COOLDOWN

Our next cold front approaches on Tuesday.  It brings scattered showers and thunderstorms into the forecast.  High reach the lower 80s on Tuesday.  Then, it’s back to a mixture of clouds and sunshine Wednesday and Thursday, and some much cooler air filters into the region.  Highs Wednesday and Thursday are in the 70s!  We moderate slightly into next weekend.  There’s more by way of sunshine, with highs hovering near or a little above 80 degrees.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
