RAIN FINALLY LEAVING
Pretty impressive rainfall totals from this mornings line of thunderstorms. Heavy rain is moving through YOrk and Lancaster right now but should push to the southeast within the next hour. Water levels are elevated and may stay there for a few hours but as of now no Flood Warnings are expected. That is not to say there won’t be minor flooding or ponding on the roads for a couple of hours until water levels recede.
Front pushes through allowing high pressure to build in. The winds will be breezy out of the northwest and will usher in drier, cooler air for tomorrow. A beautiful stretch of weather heads our way for several days.
Overnight, clouds will continue to clear slowly, dewpoints will drop and temperatures will fall to the mid and upper 50s.
FEELING GREAT AND LIKE FALL!
Tomorrow expect plenty of blue skies to start the morning but by afternoon, the clouds will bubble up for a few hours before clearing once the sun sets. Highs will be noticeably cooler and below average in the mid 70s. Winds will be breezy and may gust to 25mph.
Tomorrow night the winds will relax, skies will clear and temperatures will plummet to the low to mid 50s heading into Thursday.
WEEKEND OUTLOOK
Winds will setup out of the east-southeast which will pull in some moisture off the Atlantic. This means more clouds especially by Sunday but we should remain dry. Highs will be near seasonal averages in the low 80s.
There will be a fontal system stalled across the southeast and a wave of low pressure is forecast to develop along it. Question will be how far north it moves. Right now it could produce some showers for Monday but not all the models agree so I have kept it out of the forecast for now.
