It’s the preseason and final scores are very deceiving.   The Ravens lead 27-23 on the scoreboard when the final seconds tick away against Atlanta but they are not happy with their performance.   Joe Flacco’s 77-yard touchdown pass to Torrey Smith is one of the lone highlights for the first team offense or defense versus the Falcons.

The defending Super Bowl champs only had 13 yards rushing in the first two quarters.  Ray Rice was completely ineffective with only 10 yards on eight carries.    It was 23-7 Falcons when the second team rallies behind QB Tyrod Taylor for a 20-point fourth quarter.

Ravens defensive coordinator Dean Pees said the team’s fundamentals were not what they should be and Head Coach John Harbaugh was disgusted with the team’s play in the first half.

Baltimore hosts Carolina Thursday, August 22nd in their next preseason game.
