State Police in Franklin County are looking for someone who chucked bricks at passing cars on the Buchanan Trail. Both cases occurred minutes apart, around 11:30pm Saturday, August 17th. Both victims were traveling westbound on the Buchanan Trail. The first victim, a 20 year-old man from Mercersburg, told police he was in the 6100 block of Buchanan Trail West when a large vehicle, possibly a pickup or SUV was going in the opposite direction. As the suspect vehicle passed, someone inside the vehicle threw a brick at the victim’s vehicle. The brick went through the windshield and into the victim’s car. The victim suffered minor injuries and did not require medical assistance.
The second victim, a 53 year-old Greencastle man, reported a line of vehicles were approaching in the east bound lanes in the 9700 block of Buchanan Trail West when someone from one of the vehicles threw a brick. The brick damaged his car, but did not get into the car’s interior or injure the victim.
