A very nice summer day across the Susquehanna is under way! Plenty of sunshine and temps are warming nicely. It’s been a while since we have enjoyed warmth like this.
Check out the full moon tonight under clear skies! Overnight lows will dip into the low to mid 60s. Fog will once again form towards morning.
EVEN WARMER WEDNESDAY: High pressure and ridge of high pressure in the upper levels keeps it warm until a cold front arrives late Thursday into Friday. We’ll start out with fog again tomorrow but it will burn off just like today once the heating of the day gets going. Highs may be a tad warmer into the upper 80s! Clouds will move in late in the day as some upper level energy rotates in.
TRANSITION THURSDAY: A cold front swinging through very late will trigger a few scattered showers and thunderstorms late in the day and evening. Some of them could linger overnight. Temperatures will be still warm and it will be humid Thursday but by Friday, morning clouds will clear slowly, humidity will drop as drier air flows in and temperatures will be a few degrees cooler.
FABULOUS WEEKEND AHEAD
Friday may start out with some clouds but the rest of the looking dry with sunshine. Temperatures will be cooler and drier air will filter in as high pressure builds in at the surface. However, an upper level trof swings in along with some energy providing even cooler air for the weekend. Lows will dip back to the 50s with highs around 80 Saturday and low 80s by Sunday. Nothing but pure sunshine to enjoy!
TEMPERATURES TREND UPWARD AGAIN
Warming up for Monday as ridge strengthens. Sunshine and highs will quickly rise to the upper 80s.
Right now, it looks to remain dry through Tuesday!
Make it a great week!
