The 5.25-mile, 12-foot-wide trail features views of the Susquehanna River, Safe Harbor Dam and active Norfolk Southern freight line. It also contains four inches of special trail mix creating an ideal surface for walkers, joggers and bicyclists. Other trail amenities include ample parking with handicap accessibility, viewing platforms, park benches, picnic shelters with tables and portable restrooms, all which were built by the Manor Township Public Works Department. The project was funded by a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, a donation from Norfolk Southern, and tipping fees from the Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority.
