A Cumberland County man faces charges in the brutal assault of a two month old baby girl. 25 year old Brendon Randall Groves, after learning that North Middleton Township Police had a warrant for his arrest turned himself in at about 4:40 Friday afternoon.
On Sunday August 4, at about 10:30 am police and EMS responded to a call at Grove’s home in the 900 block of Gobin Drive. They found the infant, who was not breathing. The child was flown by Life Lion to the Penn State Hershey Medical Center. The child was treated for an injury from an assault.
Groves told investigators that prior to his call to 911 on August 4, during a moment of frustration he picked the child up and threw her against the couch in the living room. The child struck a table like portion of the couch and landed on her head and neck.
Charges against Groves include Aggravated Assault, Endangering the Welfare of Children, Simple Assault, and Recklessly Endangering another Person.
