The Organization for Responsible Care of Animals (ORCA) is holding a Parvo vaccine clinic in Lancaster and Columbia today.
It’s part of a continuing effort to curb this summer’s outbreak of the highly contagious canine Parvovirus in Lancaster County.
The clinics are being held at 1PM at Lancaster’s South End Park near Seymour and Beaver Streets and at 3PM at Janson Park along the 200 block of Cherry Street in Columbia.
A $5 donation is requested, but not required.
The group says 11 dogs and puppies have died from the Parvo outbreak in the past week.
Dog owners are encouraged to bring their dogs to the clinics and get them vaccinated against parvo.
