Eagles Head Coach Chip Kelly named Michael Vick his starting quarterback earlier in the week. He made sure to give Vick and the rest of the starters on both sides of the ball plenty of action on Thursday Night at Jacksonville. The results were mixed. Once again, the offense showed big play capabilities along with some questionable decisions that led to turnovers. Philadelphia rallied in the second half to beat the Jaguars 31-24. Vick completed 15 of his 23 passes for 184 yards and a touchdown. He also carried the ball seven times for 53 yards. After Connor Barwin’s athletic interception, Vick zipped a touchdown pass to Riley Cooper in the second quarter for a 10-7 lead. He also added an interception to go with a pair of lost fumbles from the rest of the team.
Kelly kept Vick and the starters in the game after halftime. They are not expected to play in their preseason finale on Thursday Night at the New York Jets. You can see that game on FOX43 WPMT Thursday at 7pm.
