A York County man faces multiple charges after he attacks another man with a machete. Fairview Township Police responded to a call at about 11:29 Monday night at the Harrisburg West Conference Center.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that Brody D. Wilt, 19 years of age, initially had gotten into a physical fight with his girlfriend who he lives with at the hotel. During the altercation, Wilt had bitten his girlfriend on the face, threw her against the wall and spit in her face. When Wilt left the room, his girlfriend called friends to come help her.
When the friends arrived, one confronted Wilt outside the hotel. Wilt then pulled a machete and swung at the victim striking him twice with the back side of the blade. Wilt then pushed over the victim’s motorcycle and ran into the woods behind the Fairfield Inn.
After a lengthy search, Wilt was located along Beacon Hill Boulevard in Cumberland County. He was taken into custody without incident.
Charges against Wilt include Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Harassment and Criminal Mischief.
