BRIEF REPRIEVE: The unsettled weather is on hold for a few days as the latest storm system has passed and the upper level flow has shifted a bit. For today and Friday, expect the warmth and mugginess to stay in play, but our storm chances are heavily squashed as some weak high pressure hangs around for a few days. Today, we’re foggy to start with sunshine returning later. Highs hit the low to mid 80s. A tiny storm chance exists this afternoon. Tonight we’re foggy again. Friday, expect a good amount of sun with highs in the middle 80s. Friday night football looks mild and muggy!
LABOR DAY WEEKEND: A lobe of energy will shift eastbound but the models are taking this a bit farther north with each run. This allows us to warm a bit more, but still lingers rain chances into the weekend. So, all weekend and into Monday, expect highs in the middle to upper 80s. Saturday we’ll have a small chance for storms. The chance increases a bit on Sunday and is highest on Monday. Best rain chances are only at 50-60%. So, I’d keep all my plans and just keep close to radar to check when to head indoors.
NEXT WEEK: The system over the holiday weekend should exit by Tuesday, leaving us with slightly drier air and cooler air too. Expect highs at or below average in the upper 70s for the middle part of other week with sunshine returning again.
Here’s to a fantastic Thursday!
