It’s happened again for the third time in less than a month.
Thieves strike another high end outlet store in Central Pennsylvania.
And the criminals are still on the loose.
Early Sunday morning police say people smashed the door of a Wilson Leather Outlet Store, stole merchandise, and trashed racks.
Just three weeks ago and two doors down, the exact same thing happened to this coach outlet as well as the store in Lancaster.
Surveillance footage from an earlier break-in shows two men in hooded sweatshirts enter the Coach store and take items.
“They told us it could’ve been the same person that hit coach over here, they don’t know,” says store manger of Wilson Leather, Kyle Hofmann.
Hofmann says glass was shattered all over the front of the store.
He arrived Sunday while police were still investigating.
“Just really sad and depressed hey it happens but I didn’t think it would happen to us,” says Hofmann.
He says the store’s trying to move on despite a loss during a crucial retail weekend.
“It’s an inconvenience that it happened on Labor Day weekend because we’re a lot busier and we lost not having that merchandise in the store,” says Hofmann.
But the theft isn’t stopping people from taking advantage of those last minute sales.
Berdies Davis says Wilson Leather is one of his favorite stores.
He’s hoping the cops can catch the people responsible.
“So much stuff is happening now a days that it really doesn’t surprise me but hopefully they get some better security so things like this doesn’t happen,” says shopper, Berdies Davis.
Store managers are still trying to determine the store’s total loss, but they’re just hoping it doesn’t happen again.
