Maryland gun applications swamp police, dealers ahead of Oct. 1 law

Maryland State Police are awash with tens of thousands of applications from would be gun buyers before one of the nation’s toughest firearms law takes effect.  The new law which goes into effect on October 1, 2013,  limits handgun magazines to 10 rounds and adds 45 guns to a list of banned assault weapons.

The Washington Times reports Maryland State Police have received more than 85,000 gun purchase applications so far this year.  To read more on the story click here.

    Sounds like addiction. Same thing would happen if similar restrictions were on the horizon for cigarettes, alcohols and lottery tickets.
