A police patrol is credited with calling in a fire at a home in the 1900 block of Berryhill Street in Harrisburg. The officers spotted smoke coming from the home at about 1:04 o’clock Friday afternoon. All the residents were evacuated. A female resident was taken to a local hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation. The American Red Cross is also providing assistance.
Traffic was blocked on Derry Street between 19th and 21st streets while crews battled the blaze. City and county Fire Marshals have determined that the fire was not suspicious in nature.
