A horse show in Lancaster County raised money for the mounted patrol and canine police units.
The Columbia Riding Club hosted the 6th annual Lancaster mounted patrol and canine unit benefit horse show today. During the show, police officers demonstrated how dogs assist with drug searches and with making arrests.
Mounted horse patrol officers also displayed horses in police work, as well as answered questions about the horses in the police unit.
“The generosity is unbelievable that they hold this event each year, incredible experience that they are able to raise money and awareness for the patrols and for the K-9 unit”
Money raised at today’s benefit helps pay for equipment and veterinary expenses.
