Lancaster Police break up a fight and arrest a man with a stolen handgungun. It happened on Sunday September 8, around 3am. Police were called to the 300 block of South Queen Street for a report of a fight in-progress.
Officers found that a group of people were attempting to restrain a male at the scene. Witnesses told police the male, later identified as Nathan A. Lewis, was in possession of a handgun. Lewis was later taken into custody for Public Drunkenness. He was carrying a .357 revolver. It turns out, that handgun had been reported as stolen to the East Earl Township Police Department.
As a result of this incident Nathan Lewis was charged with Persons not to Possess a Firearm, Firearms not to be Carried Without a License, Receiving Stolen Property and Public Drunkenness. Lewis was treated and released at a local hospital for injuries received during the initial fight. He is in Lancaster County Prison, in lieu of $100,000 bail and a State Parole Detainer.
