IT’S HERE!: The storms have moved out and the drier air is rolling on into the state. The return of fall like air begins today. It’s breezy and cooling this morning. Today, cloud will linger but some sunshine will mix through as highs hit the low 70s. Evening plans will feature a breeze with temperatures sliding out of the 70s and into the upper 50s.
WEEKEND: The mornings will start on a chilly note with temperatures in the 40s. Saturday will be a cool and sunny day. Highs hit the upper 60s. Sunday, it’s a bit warmer with highs topping out in the middle 70s. Oh yeah, it’s sunny and comfy again too!
NEXT WEEK: Another front arrives overnight Sunday into Monday, but it looks pretty weak and should just give us some clouds Monday. Otherwise, a reinforcing shot of this comfy air will come into play. Highs Monday hit the low 70s. Tuesday is just as mild. Wednesday, we’ll see some clouds and highs warm to the upper 70s. Late week, we’ll be watching for a shot at some showers and storms as our next front rolls through.
FOOTBALL: You will likely need a jacket for the football frenzy games tonight. Kickoff temps will be in the low 60s, but the winds will make it feel colder as they kick around from 10-20mph. By the end of the game, we’re in the upper 50s. We’re dry with some few clouds.
Penn State takes on Central Florida at 6PM on Saturday in State College. Early tailgating in Happy Valley will feature 40s and a breeze. The breeze relaxes and the temps rise to the mid 60s by afternoon, so you can shed the sweaters! Game time temp will be near 60° with sunny skies. The temps fall to the middle 60s by the end of the game. Dress warmly! Let’s Go State!
