Hummelstown

Local artists hit the streets of Dauphin County to sell their one of a kind creations at the Hummelstown Arts Festival on Saturday.

Hummelstown shut down the intersection of Main and Hanover Streets to set up tents of the vendors during the 32nd Annual Arts Festival. The event also included live music, children’s activities and a food court featuring specialties from local restaurants.

“The arts festival is to provide scholarships for graduating seniors who are going to further their education in the arts.  We try to provide at least four scholarships a year, $1,250 per scholarship to the graduating seniors.  This is Hummelstown, we love it,” says Jody Dimpsey, President of the Festival.

New to this year’s festival was a Youth Art Show Contest. It featured works of art from students in the Lower Dauphin School District.
