WARMEST DAY:  The warmest day of the next seven comes today, fittingly enough on the final Friday of summer!  Expect morning fog to burn off quickly, replaced with lots of sunshine for the day today.  Highs will be near 80° and you may start to notice a little humidity.  Evening plans look good as temps fall through the 70s into the 60s.  Tonight, we cloud up with a shower possible in a few spots as lows drop to the upper 50s.

SATURDAY RAIN:  A slowly moving cold front arrives Saturday, with rain likely during the daytime hours.  Expect several hours of some steady, soaking rain with a few thunderstorms embedded in the mix.  Otherwise, we’re cloudy and mild with highs in the low 70s.  We’ll slowly clear the rain late Saturday as lows fall to the mid to upper 50s.

Rain Estimates

SUNDAY AND BEYOND:  Cooler air starts to glide in as a large area of high pressure settles into place for the week ahead.  Sunday starts cloudy, with gradual clearing later in the day.  We’re cooler with highs only near 70°.  Monday is the coolest day, filled with plenty of sun; we’ll start in the upper 40s and finish in the upper 60s.  We gradually warm each day through the end of the week, with highs in the upper 70s and lows in the mid 50s by Thursday.

FOOTBALL: High School Football Frenzy continues tonight!  It’s a nice and mild evening for the games too.  We stay dry with temperatures in the70s to start, dropping to the upper 60s by the 4th quarter.  Enjoy the games!

HSFF

Penn State is at home against the Golden Flashes of Kent State.  Tailgating will feature showers rolling in as we head through late morning into the midday hours.  Bring the tents, and umbrellas, and be prepared for a muddy walk.  Rain chances remain high as the game begins at 3:30PM.  Showers may taper as we roll toward the end of the game.  Highs will only hit the upper 60s in Happy Valley.  Bring your rain gear for sure!

Say hello to autumn on Sunday at 4:44PM!

Enjoy your Friday and have a spectacular weekend!
