The York County Coroner says the pilot, injured in Sunday afternoon’s Ultralight plane crash, has died. He is identified as James Wardrop, 80, of Dover. He died from multiple blunt force trauma suffered in the crash.
Pennsylvania State Police arrived at the scene just before 5 p.m. at Shreveport Airport near Wellsville, York County.
They say Wardrop crashed the plane when he hit the runway.
He was taken to York Hospital for his injuries and died several hours later.
