SUMMER AIR:  Yesterday, we hit 80° and I think we’ll do a bit better than that today.  Despite the calendar reading October, summer air is here to stay through the rest of the week.  Highs today will top out in the lower to middle 80s.  We’re warm, dry, mainly sunny, and we add a touch of humidity to the air too.  Tonight a cold front sags south, but it will quickly lift north as a warm front later Thursday into Friday.  This drops temps a few degrees for Thursday, to near 80°.  But by Friday, we’re back at the low to middle 80s.  Expect more clouds around Thursday into Friday with a small shower chance later Friday as the warm front rolls through.  Our dry stretch looks to continue to close out the week.

WEEKEND:  Saturday looks warm and dry with the low 80s staying put.  We’re partly cloudy too.  We’re watching a cold front pushing east on Sunday, but it slows down a bit.  This keeps us warm and partly cloudy with highs in the 80s.  Later in the day we could see a shower or two, but I think the weekend remains mainly dry.

NEXT WEEK:  The front rolls through overnight Sunday into Monday.  Energy and moisture from a tropical system expected to develop in the Gulf of Mexico may ride along this front, adding extra moisture to the mix.  So expect rain for Monday, with the front clearing things out by Tuesday.  We have a lot to monitor here in the days ahead.  Highs next week will drop back to the low 70s.

Happy Wednesday!
