STAYING DRY & SUMMER-LIKE
A weak front has temporarily parked itself just south of the region, bringing a bit of clouds along with a foggy and hazy start to the region. A mixture of sunshine and clouds begins the morning once the fog burns off. The front is very slow to move north, so the sun and clouds mix stays with us. Highs reach the 70s to lower 80s throughout the region. Tonight is another mild night, with low temperatures in the 50s to lower 60s. Skies are partly cloudy. Some developing shower activity along the front could shoot a shower this way during the evening, but it’s dry for most. Patchy fog forms again late. We do it all over again Friday with a few minor differences. High temperatures area a couple degrees warmer, and there is a small chance for a shower or two during the afternoon. Most however, continue the dry spell.
MORE OF THE SAME FOR WEEKEND
Another cold front will be slowly approaching from the west through the weekend. In the meantime, this means we can expect little change. Saturday looks to be the warmest day with a mixture of sunshine and clouds. Highs reach the lower to middle 80s. Sunday the clouds thicken up as the next cold front continues to inch closer. There is the chance for a late day shower, but the precipitation mainly holds off until Monday. Highs are a little cooler with the added clouds, but most should make the lower 80s.
RAIN, RAIN, COME OUR WAY!
The next chance for rainfall comes when the cold front finally pushes through Monday, possibly lasting into Tuesday. Models are still projecting a tropical system to be pulled in with the front, and this is what could slow it down and keep the shower chance through Tuesday. More moisture is not a bad thing though, with how dry it’s been over the last several weeks! High temperatures fall back into the 70s and cool through the middle of the week.
