A longtime volunteer firefighter died Saturday following accident involving a tractor Franklin County.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the 10000 block of Mountain Road in Letterkenny Township for a land rescue involving a tractor with rollover.
Authorities say Ron Keefer, Sr., was killed when a tractor rolled over, trapping him underneath it.
Keefer joined the Pleasant Hall Vol. Fire Company in the mid-70’s, according to the fire departments webpage.
He was named firefighter of the year in 2012.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
No other details about the crash have been released.
