Monday is the deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 5 election.
To be eligible to register to vote in Pennsylvania, you must be:
· A United States citizen for at least one month prior to the November 5 election;
· A resident of Pennsylvania and the election district for at least 30 days prior to the election; and/or
· At least 18 years of age on or before November 5.
Voters will not be required to show identification when they visit the polls to cast their ballot. The voter ID law, which would require citizens to present a driver’s license, passport or a special ID card meant to be used just for voting, was put on hold by a judge for this election as he reviews the case.
However, Voters who are voting for the first time in a polling place will be required to present a form of ID.
