Harrisburg man arrested for attempted homicide, second man sought

Police arrested one man and are searching for another in connection with a shooting along the 1500 block of North 6th Street in Harrisburg on Oct. 5.

Danny Cruz, 35, of Harrisburg, is charged with criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault, persons not to possess a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, retaliation against witnesses and conspiracy.

Officers were dispatched early Saturday to the 1500 block of North 6th Street  for a reported shooting. A 43-year-old man was found at the scene with multiple gunshots wounds. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

According to police reports, the victim was assaulted by numerous assailants. One of the suspects was identified as Orlando Ayuso-Rivera.

Police attempted to serve a warrant for Ayuso-Rivera’s arrest on Sunday, but could not locate him.

Ayuso-Rivera is still being sought.

Police say Cruz has been identified as the shooter.

The victim continues to recover from his injuries.
