A Leola man was sentenced Friday in the death of his 4-month old son in January.
Jesus LaSanta was ordered to spend 12 1/2 to 25 years behind bars for the death of his son, Nazareth.
LaSanta admitted to police that he yanked the baby from his bouncy seat, struck his chest and slammed him into a mattress on the afternoon of Jan. 13, according to a criminal complaint.
On Jan. 16, the boy was pronounced dead at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. He died of multiple traumatic injuries, according to court documents.
