Lancaster City Police charge a Harrisburg man for a stabbing that took place in September. Louis Hargrove Jr., 53, is accused of stabbing a 49 year-old Lancaster man in the stomach in the early morning hours of September 1st. It happened on the 300 block of South Marshall Street. Police say Hargrove Jr. and the victim knew each other prior to the assault. The victim is still receiving treatment more than six weeks after the attack due to the severity of his injuries, but is now in stable condition and expected to recover.
Hargrove Jr. is charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Homicide and Aggravated Assault. He was arraigned by MDJ Ballentine, who set bail at $500,000. Hargrove Jr. has been held in the Lancaster County Prison since September 21st for offenses unrelated to the stabbing incident.
