A Tower City man is arrested after police find him asleep in his car while a two year-old child was in the back seat, playing with syringes police believe were loaded with heroin. It happened Thursday morning at the McDonald’s on the 1200 block of Maple Street in Lebanon. A concerned citizen called police, who found Ray Lucas, 27, asleep in the car while the toddler played with the needles, one of them uncapped and bent.
The child was examined at a local hospital and released to other family members.
Police have charged Lucas with Endangering the welfare of children, recklessly endangering, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was arraigned and placed in Lebanon County Correctional Facility on $50,000 bail.
