A Dauphin County jury on Thursday returned a guilty verdict in the sexual assault trial of 57 year old Johnny Foster. The incident happened on September 27, 2012 at the Home Depot in Swatara Township.
Foster approached the female victim under the guise of friendly acquaintance in the store’s parking lot. He deliberately touched her privates twice while she was on the phone with her nine year old daughter. The victim instinctively grabbed his wrists when he reached out for her and the two struggled while she asked him to stop. He asked if could at least have a hug and she agreed, attempting to appease him and avoid anything violent because no one else was nearby.
He forcefully pulled her in close, and pushed his pelvis on hers, asking her, “Do you feel that?” He then kissed her on the lips and while walking away said, “I can’t help what happens the next time you wear a skirt.”
Foster has an extensive criminal history including drugs, burglary, and assault. He was on parole when he committed the offense. Foster is facing additional invasion of privacy charges in Dauphin County for taking pictures of a 15 year old female while she was sleeping.
He has also been charged in Franklin County for the January 1995 murder of Freddie Brumfield Jr, near Chambersburg.
Foster remains in Dauphin County Prison awaiting sentencing scheduled for January 6, 2014.
