A multi-vehicle accident has left five people dead according to Washington Township Police.

The accident occurred on Saturday just before 2:00PM on the 1300 block of Fort Richie Access Road in Franklin County.

Franklin County Coroner Jeffry Conner has identified the victims; Marjorie S. Smith, 68 of Johnstown, Douglas M. Hoffer Jr, 32, of Quarryville, Colleen E. Nesbitt, 24, of Gap, David Allen Russell, 67, of Mount Joy and Michelle G. Russell, 53, of Mount Joy.

According to the press release, officials say 68-year-old Marjorie Smith crossed the center line, hitting a 2009 Harley Davidson head on, driven by 32-year-old Douglas Hoffer Jr. and passenger Colleen Nesbitt. The impact caused the SUV to turn counterclockwise and was the broadsided by a second motorcycle, a 1999 Suzuki driven by David Russell and his passenger Michelle Russell.

Coroner pronounced all five dead at the scene. Autopsies are scheduled for Monday in Allentown.
