…A FREEZE WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR TONIGHT…
COLD IS HERE: The advertised chill has arrived! Today, we begin in the 30s for most and only make it to the low 50s for highs. A blob of cold air settles in for the next few days. Expect mainly cloudy skies and one or two showers in spots early. Tonight, we drop down to the middle 30s.
COLD STAYS: This lobe of cold air isn’t in much of a hurry to exit the state. Thursday, we’re partly cloudy with a few intervals of sunshine. It’s breezy and dry with highs only making it to the upper 40s. Friday we should see more sun mixing in and less of a breeze. Highs only rise to the 50° mark. Friday and Saturday mornings start near or below the freezing mark for most locations, so expect the first widespread freeze of the season, a week or so later than the average first freeze date.
WEEKEND: Chilly mornings and cool afternoons. That’s the theme of the weekend forecast with afternoon highs hitting the middle 50s. Saturday starts with sunshine. Clouds arrive by evening with mostly cloudy skies overnight and to start Sunday. Sunday will feature increasing sunshine through the day.
NEXT WEEK: Monday looks dry with gradual warming. Sunshine should allow highs to hit the upper 50s. Tuesday, we start sunny with clouds thickening quickly through the day. We’re back to the low 60s though!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
