FREEZE WARNING in effect for Friday morning from 2am until 9am as some areas could wake up to temperatures near 32 degrees. Areas of frost is likely. Winds may be a tad breeze keeping other areas from bottoming out.
We begin in the 30s for Friday, but the persistent northwesterly flow will make it difficult for temperatures to warm much past 50. We should be able to see some areas muster out a few degrees better than today. Winds will pick up again 10 to 15 mph out of the northwest and gusting at times. Clouds will mix with sunshine but will decrease and thin out as we head into the evening.
It will be cold for football so bring extra blankets and whatever you need to keep warm. Temperatures will fall quickly into the low 40s by the start of area games and fall to the upper 30s under clearing skies.
BELOW AVERAGE FOR THE WEEKEND
While temperatures will slowly creep up as we move into the weekend, they will still be running well below normal. Expect to start cold Saturday under sunny skies but the next system will quickly move in from the west and bring the clouds back laterin the day. Highs will warm into the lower and middle 50s. Clouds may linger a bit on Sunday but high pressure building in will clear them out by afternoon. Highs will again climb to the middle 50s.
A BIT MILDER
With the upper level trough lifting out, it will allow for milder air to return. This results in temperatures climbing closer to seasonable averages. Monday brings a mixture of sunshine and clouds with highs in the middle to upper 50s. A warm front approaches Tuesday and increases clouds. High are near 60 degrees. Next chance for showers will come Wednesday as the next cold front arrives. Temperatures still near 60.
