Bethesda Mission is in need of turkeys, other meats, and cereals right away to meet their commitment to the poor and homeless this year! The turkeys, meats, and cereals are needed for food box distributions, meals at the Mission on Thanksgiving Day, and for meals that will be delivered to the aged and shut-ins.
Chuck Wingate, executive director of the Mission states, “Each year, our commitments are made before we know where the food is coming from. Over the years, we have seen God move the hearts of faithful people of this community to provide for these needs. So please, bring in your donation as soon as possible! We want to be sure that anyone who needs a meal will get it! For 99 years this community has responded to the needs of our poorest neighbors, and we are confident that this year will be no different. But we need your help! Thank you for your wonderful generosity!”
Those wishing to help us provide a hot, nutritious meal to those in need may bring their donations to Bethesda Mission, located at 611 Reily Street, Harrisburg at any time. We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For further information, please contact Ken Ross at 717-257-4442, ext. 223, weekdays from 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
