An SUV driven by a 90 year old Maryland man slams into a York County apartment building. It happened at about 2:15 pm Wednesday on Center Square in Hanover Borough.  Police Walter Evans, of Brookeville, Maryland, was pulling into the parking quadrant in front of the building when he lost control of his 2011 Subaru Forester.

The SUV slammed through the brick hall of the living room of 54 year old Jane Olsen, who was asleep on her sofa. Olson was knocked off the sofa, but suffered only minor injuries. She refused medical treatment.

Walter Evans was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries. A passenger in his vehicle was uninjured.

The building owner, Thomas Hufnagle of Hanover, says a structural engineer will inspect the building for damage which appears to be limited to the exterior wall of the apartment.

The crash investigation continues.  Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact the Hanover Borough Police Department at (717) 637-5575 or through 911.
