A jury of 13 Methodist Church pastors hands a Lebanon County minister,  found guilty two charges by the same jury of performing a same sex marriage ceremony for his son, two suspensions.

For charge 1: a 30 day suspension

For charge 2:  a 30 day suspension to be served concurrently with the first, so overall a 30 day suspension.

During the suspension if the Reverend Frank Schaefer breaks the discipline he will have to surrender his ministerial credentials.

Also, at the end of his suspension Rev. Schaefer must discern his newfound calling to the LGBT community and agree to uphold the discipline or he must surrender his credentials.

The penalty got more that the seven required votes.

During the suspension he must report to a District Superintended within the United Methodist Church.

At the end of the suspension he will submit a report and interview with the Board of Ordained Ministry.
