Workers Urge Corbett to Expand Medicaid

Governor Corbett received a not so coveted award from healthcare workers and uninsured Pennsylvanians pushing for the expansion of medicaid, Turkey of the Year.  Hundreds of disgruntled workers gathered outside the Governor’s residence urging him to “stop being a turkey.”  They say more than 400,000 Pennsylvanians want Corbett to expand the program so they can get covered by January 1st.  They also say that despite the new Affordable Healthcare Act options, thousands do not earn enough to qualify and therefore fall within a dangerous coverage gap.
