The Economy Inn located at 2140 Lincoln Highway East was the victim of an armed robbery early Saturday morning. Police say the robber, described as a heavyset Hispanic male wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt pulled tightly around his face, approached the front desk displaying a handgun around 2am. The robber demanded money and ran out of the rear of the hotel after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash. Two employees working the desk were not injured.
