5 year-old girl with Lymphoma is ‘Princess’ for a day

A Perry County girl is a Princess for a day; making one of her biggest dreams come true.
Dressed in a full princess gown, five-year old Brielle Kelly got to ride in a white horse-drawn carriage. Her big sister, Alayna was by her side.
Brielle, of Watts Township, has a host of medical problems including Lymphoma and is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
But on Saturday, none of that mattered as she was treated to a Princess Party at The Hotel Hershey.
Brielle’s party was made possible by a Pittsburgh based organization called Jamie’s Dream Team, which helps fulfill the wishes of chronically ill children. So far, Jamie’s Dream Team has made the wishes of more than 700 children come true.
“The support that we have gotten out of this community is completely amazing. People just come forward, wanted to donate, wanted to help, donate their services and we are very grateful,” says Jamie Holmes, Founder of Jamie’s Dream Team.
Brielle’s parents, Matt and Tina Kelly, say she has four chemotherapy treatments left. But, the road to recovery will continue long after that, as she needs a small bowel transplant. Despite the medical problems, little Brielle enjoyed her party; it was a dream come true.
